Call from Del Barrett ARPS (Vice President)

It’s not every day you get the chance to exhibit alongside the likes of Abbie Traylor-Smith, Alice Zoo, Alison Jackson, Aly Tomlinson, Bex Day, Carol Sharpe, Hannah Starkey, Jillian Edelstein, Julia Fullerton-Batten, Kate Peters, Lisa Barnard, Lottie Davies, Lydia Goldblatt, Marysa Dowling and Trish Morrisery.  But that’s exactly what fellow Trustee, Vanessa Slawson FRPS, and I will be doing in December.  It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in the most amazing photographic project, arguably, the highlight of 100 years in Westminster.  But … sorry chaps, this one is for women only.

To celebrate the centenary of women’s suffrage, Hilary Wood has launched an initiative, supported by the Society, whereby the 208 female Members of Parliament will be photographed by 208 female photographers.  The results will be shown in a special exhibition, from December, at the Palace of Westminster.

For the chance to help us make history with this unique project, simply submit the following details to by 1 June 2018:

  • Five low res images of your recent work
  • Short biography (max of 150 words)
  • The name of your local MP, if she’s female, or the name of any other female MP you’d like to photograph.
